Happy New Year everyone! Don’t forget to make your resolutions for the year – don’t go crazy – choose one thing and stick to it. Me? I am going to cook more. I want to learn a new recipe a week. Oh and I am going to use My Word Coach and learn a new word a day. We hope you have all had a very merry Christmas and wish you lots of health and happiness in 2009. Hooray! :)

What are your resolutions this year?  Lose weight, get fit, stop smoking, learn a language?

The usual right?

And tell me how many of those have you made, year after year and broken?…   Hmm… Exactly!

This year is going to be different! 2009 will be the year you stick to them, with the help of your Nintendo DS of course…

The brillant ‘My Coach’ range will help you – there is one for each of those resolutions with more titles being introduced over the coming year. Did I tell you we are giving these away?  Keep reading to find out more about these games… and what you have to do in order to WIN THEM ALL (including the cute little games case)!

DS Lite’s are selling out. If you want one then buy one, because leaving it until next week will be too late and the prices could be well near the £200 mark – and that’s just for the handheld console with no games. I speak from experience as this happened to me last Christmas and the whole (traumatic!) experience is what spurred me to build this site. My shopping the last few years has all been online, I have no TIME at all as I am so busy working. Unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of time off for Christmas shopping so I rely solely on the internet. Last year I was under the illusion I had lots of time ‘online’ to do it. I meant to do my shopping late November and left it, then meant to do it first week of December and didn’t and then realised err…there wasn’t any DS stock anywhere (which wasn’t really a surprise as it was the week before Christmas). And no stock at the £100 I so wanted to pay.

Do you know what a Kindle is?  It’s an e-book reader from Amazon and it’s pretty amazing, it’s completely sold out in the US and costs $359.  You can also buy a Sony E-Book Reader which is similar, and will cost around £200. Or you could just use your DS Lite..

Britain is being flooded with hundreds of fake Nintendo DS Lites according to reports in the news today. Although this is bad because the majority of them don’t work, what makes it a real worry is that they are being sold with dodgy adaptors which haven’t been tested and are potentially dangerous.  (source) These machines were bought from Asian-based console websites and had been selling for £40 rather than the nomal retail price of £100. Be careful who you buy from! All the retailers on this site are established merchants, brand names that most of you all recognize – there are a few names you might not be familiar with but they have been thoroughly checked by us and safe to deal with.

You didn’t need us to tell you that there are stock issues! The demand for this game is PHENOMENAL – it had better be good eh? There are hundreds of people searching for this game on our site every minute and the majority of you have been lucky. However for some of you it seems just as you thought you had got one after being sent a confirmation email, you receive a ‘cancellation’ email shortly after telling you there isn’t enough stock available! How I-R-R-I-T-A-T-I-N-G. You would think if a merchant didn’t have stock in then they wouldn’t advertise that they did, right? I think it’s a case of hundreds of people ordering in the same period of time and the merchant’s system just not being fast enough in checking the stock levels. It’s only afterwards when the computer goes to match an order up with an item that the figures don’t match up and they realize there isn’t enough stock! Then some of you get those annoying and disappointing emails… So how can we help you avoid that?
